Roots KC Plant Shop

One of the best plant shops I’ve visited. The selection is beautiful, but what really stood out was the customer service. Willa was SO kind and gave me helpful advice based on my experience level instead of just trying to make a sale. Highly recommend checking this place out!

🐾 Awruff! 🐾 This Dog recently stumbled his way into Roots KC Plant Shop, and I absolutely loved it! 🌿🐶💚 From the moment I walked through the door, I was warmly greeted and made to feel right at home. 🐾💚🐶 The shop has such a welcoming atmosphere, beautiful displays, and friendly employees! Roots is packed with goodies for plant lovers of all experience levels. There was a Propagation Station, Plant-Parenthood kits, a Terrarium Bar, and even adorable little plant hats! 🌱🪴🎩 And just when I thought the visit couldn't get any better, I was lucky enough to meet a Gnome! 🧙‍♂️🌱🐶 Obviously, that's a sign of a great botanical boutique! Between the plants, creative displays, friendly staff, and welcoming environment, Roots is the kind of place you can stay awhile and keep exploring to find more! Whether you're a seasoned Plant Parent or just looking to add a little green to your life, this shop is an absolute must! This Dog can't wait to come back! 🐾🪴💚 10/10 🦴 — Beautiful plants, amazing people, and a surprise gnome encounter. What more could a Pup ask for?

Above and beyond customer service. I placed an order with Willa and she talked me through the most beautiful plants in the shop and even going as far as sending pictures of the exact plants that would be delivered SAME DAY.

If you haven’t stopped by this enchanting shop, drop what you are doing, do not pass go, & get down there! It has turned myself, an expert in black thumb (aka killing off plants) into a believer that I CAN do this!! rOOTs has shelves packed with goodies outside of the enormous array of plant life to choose from. They are from local KC businesses which is even better! They offer puzzles, jewelry, mugs, pots of course, planters, doormats, plant decor (didn’t know this was such a thing), stickers, apparel & more that you must go in, to see. Jada was excelled at her customer service craft & helped me to pick out a gorgeous pink/green friend that is easy to nurture. I’m on my second week having it & it’s still alive. Baby steps 👣!! If you need plant care, they obviously have options for that. I think I will end here & let the pics n vids do the talking. You don’t know what you are missing until you stop by this gem downtown. You WILL be back!! Xo 💋 MC

This was such a wonderful new, local plant store to find! The owners and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and I loved the collection of plants – rare, decorative, easy-care, pet friendly, etc.! They have a nice selection of planters/pots and can pot the plants for you! There was also a small merch wall with creative shirt designs. They had high-quality pit moss (not peat!) and unique plant hangers all locally sourced! One of my favorite things was that they have QR codes on every plant that will bring up a site to learn about that plant and how to care for it! I ended up buying five plants and two shirts on my first visit, and I will definitely be back soon!
